Multi-location businesses
Cybersecurity for multi-location businesses, consistent at every site
ACS Cyber provides managed cybersecurity and incident response for multi-location businesses: one security baseline for every site, 24/7 monitoring of all locations from our in-house SOC, and in-house forensic investigation when something goes wrong. Start with a free 30-minute consultation, or call our 24/7 incident line if you have an active incident.
- Consistent controls across sites
- Network segmentation
- Identity and device management
- Central 24/7 monitoring
Multi-site risk
The risks we see across multiple locations
Clinics, offices, branches, and retail locations open at different times, with different equipment, vendors, and local habits. Over time each site ends up with its own firewall settings, shared passwords, and devices nobody fully owns.
Attackers only need the weakest location. Network segmentation means dividing a network into separate zones, so guest Wi-Fi, payment systems, cameras, and business systems cannot freely reach each other. Without it, a compromise at one site can spread to the others.
- Inconsistent controls. One site has multi-factor authentication and current patches, while another still runs an old firewall and a shared admin password.
- Flat networks. Guest Wi-Fi, point-of-sale systems, cameras, and business systems often share one network, so a single compromise can spread.
- Identity and device sprawl. Staff move between sites, shared workstations multiply, and accounts for former employees linger.
- Limited local IT. Many locations have no on-site security staff, so problems can go unnoticed until they affect operations.
One standard, many sites
The goal is simple to state and hard to reach alone: the same security baseline at every location, monitored from one place, with exceptions only where a site truly needs one.
We define that baseline with you, roll it out site by site, and report progress so leadership can see where each location stands.
Have you been compromised?
If ransomware hits one location, call before it spreads
If systems at any site are encrypted or behaving strangely, call our 24/7 incident line. We help isolate the affected location, check whether the threat has reached other sites, find out what happened through in-house forensic investigation, work with your insurer and counsel when you authorize it, and help restore operations in a controlled order.
Payment card or customer data involved? See data breach and exposure support. After recovery, we help bring every location up to a baseline so it does not happen again.
Multi-site incidents we respond to
- Ransomware
- Point-of-sale compromise
- Site firewall or remote-access breach
- Phishing account takeover
- Exposed customer data
How ACS Cyber helps
Services matched to multi-site risk
Each service covers a specific exposure, and one accountable team coordinates all of them across your locations.
Central monitoring for every site
Our in-house SOC monitors endpoints, identities, Microsoft 365, and network activity across all locations around the clock, so suspicious activity at any site is investigated centrally.
Visibility into every location
Internal and external vulnerability scanning at each site finds exposed services, outdated firewalls, and unpatched systems, with remediation tracked and validated.
A security standard for the whole business
A virtual CISO defines the baseline every location must meet, from network segmentation to device standards, and reports progress to leadership.
Readiness across locations
If your locations accept card payments or handle health or financial data, we help you align controls with PCI DSS, the HIPAA Security Rule, or other requirements at every site.
Incident response that crosses sites
When an incident affects one location, we help contain it and limit its spread, investigate in-house, and coordinate a controlled recovery across the business.
Training for distributed teams
Consistent training and phishing simulations for every location, including front-line staff who share devices and rarely sit at a desk.
Readiness
What we help you prepare
A repeatable baseline that every location can meet, document, and maintain.
- A written security baseline that applies to every location
- Network segmentation separating guest Wi-Fi, payment systems, devices, and business systems
- Standard firewall and remote-access configurations for each site
- Central identity management with multi-factor authentication for all staff
- Device management for shared workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
- An asset inventory showing what is connected at each location
- Onboarding and offboarding steps that work the same way at every site
- An incident response plan with site-level contacts and escalation paths
Getting started
How we start
A clear path from the first conversation to a consistent program across your locations.
01
Free 30-minute consultation
Talk with a cybersecurity expert about your locations, how they connect, and what concerns you most. You leave with a clear next step, whether or not we work together.
02
Site-by-site assessment
We review each location’s network, devices, accounts, and local practices, then compare them to find the gaps that matter most.
03
Baseline and roadmap
You receive a common security baseline and a prioritized rollout plan in business language, ordered by risk and practicality.
04
Roll out and monitor
We bring each location up to the baseline, monitor all of them centrally, and review progress with you as you grow.
Questions
Multi-location cybersecurity questions
ACS Cyber provides managed cybersecurity and incident response for multi-location businesses, including clinics, branch offices, and retail locations. As the MSSP and cybersecurity division of Atlantic Computer Systems, we apply one security baseline across your sites and monitor all of them 24/7 from our in-house SOC.
Usually not. ACS Cyber is headquartered in San Jose, California, with an office hub in Boston, supporting organizations nationwide, and most assessment, monitoring, and configuration work happens remotely. For day-to-day IT, Atlantic Computer Systems, our parent company, also provides nationwide remote IT support.
Where hands-on work is needed, we plan it with your local staff or IT provider. Atlantic Computer Systems provides managed IT, including networks and IT logistics, from its IT support locations, so site-level fixes can be carried through when you want that. Learn about Atlantic Computer Systems.
Call our 24/7 incident line at 1-650-300-7557 and disconnect affected devices from the network without wiping them. Notify your cyber insurer as your policy requires. We help isolate the location, check whether other sites are affected, preserve evidence, and plan a controlled recovery. See ransomware response for what happens next.
Not to start. We assess what each site has today, define a common baseline, and move each location toward it in a sensible order, often when equipment is due for replacement anyway.
Through network segmentation: guest Wi-Fi, payment systems, and business systems each sit in a separate zone that cannot freely reach the others. If you accept card payments, we also help you align those controls with PCI DSS.
Yes. We can structure reporting so leadership can see findings and progress by site, which makes it clear which locations meet the baseline and which still need work.
Before the site opens. A standard build for networks, devices, and accounts lets each new location start on the baseline instead of catching up later.
