Effective date: October 6, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of acscyber.net (the “site”). The site is operated by Atlantic Computer Systems (“ACS”, “we”, “us” or “our”). ACS Cyber is the dedicated cybersecurity division of Atlantic Computer Systems.
Accepting these Terms
By using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You must be legally able to form a binding contract to use the site. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
The site is general information
The site describes ACS Cyber and its services and publishes general guidance on cybersecurity topics. It is not professional, legal, compliance or security advice for your specific situation.
Every environment is different. Before acting on anything you read here, talk with a qualified professional who knows your circumstances, and work with your legal counsel on legal and regulatory questions.
Threats, technologies and regulations change, and guidance can become outdated. We review our content, but we do not promise that every page is complete or current.
Consultations and client relationships
Booking a consultation, calling us or reading the site does not create a client relationship. It does not oblige you or ACS to enter into one.
ACS provides services only under separate written agreements, such as a services agreement or a statement of work. If a written agreement conflicts with these Terms, the written agreement controls for the services it covers.
If you call our 24/7 incident line, our team will talk with you about your situation and the next steps. Incident response work begins once you and ACS agree on the scope of the work and your authorization for it.
Information you share with us
Please do not send passwords, private keys, protected health information, financial records, logs, evidence files or other sensitive information through the site, the scheduler or a general phone call. If an engagement needs sensitive information, our team will agree a secure way to handle it with you first.
Information you share with us is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site in violation of any law or regulation, or in a way that infringes the rights of others
- Scrape, mine or harvest content or contact details from the site by automated means, other than search-engine and AI-assistant crawlers that follow the site’s robots.txt rules
- Scan, probe or test the site, its servers or related systems for vulnerabilities without our permission, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to them
- Run load tests or stress tests, or do anything else that places an unreasonable load on the site or disrupts it
- Introduce malware, or interfere with or work around the site’s security features
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or book consultations using false information
- Frame, mirror or copy the site in a way that could mislead others about who operates it
Reporting a security issue
We welcome good-faith security research. If you believe you have found a vulnerability in this site, please tell us using the contact details in our security.txt file, or call 1-650-300-7557.
When you research in good faith, please avoid accessing, changing or deleting data that is not yours, avoid degrading the site for other visitors, and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix an issue before you share details publicly.
If you want to test anything beyond observing and reporting an issue, contact us first so we can agree the scope. This invitation does not authorize automated scanning or load testing of the site.
Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, graphics, visual designs, logos and code, are owned by or licensed to Atlantic Computer Systems and are protected by intellectual property laws.
The “ACS Cyber” and “Atlantic Computer Systems” names and logos are trademarks of Atlantic Computer Systems. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
You may view, print and share pages from the site for your own internal, non-commercial use, as long as you keep any notices intact. All other rights are reserved.
Third-party services and links
The site uses and links to services operated by other companies, including Calendly for scheduling, Google for analytics, HubSpot for CRM and analytics, and Microsoft for calendars and online meetings.
Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services or content, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
Disclaimers
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content is accurate, complete or current. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, ACS and its owners, officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the site. This applies even if we have been told such damages are possible.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the site will not exceed US $100.
Services provided under a separate written agreement are governed by the liability terms of that agreement, not by this section.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless ACS and its owners, officers, employees and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
You agree that the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the site or these Terms, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
Before starting any formal proceeding, please call us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
Changes to the site and these Terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time. We may suspend access for anyone who violates these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date. If you continue to use the site after an update, you accept the updated Terms.
General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and ACS about the site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver.
Provisions that by their nature should continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnification, survive after you stop using the site.
